About Me
The Person behind the Practice
The Person behind the Practice
People sometimes wonder whether a psychologist truly follows her own advice. For me that's a wholehearted Yes. I have had the privilege to receive coaching as an entrepreneur during my founding years of MentalStark and during its decline. I've gone to therapy, and grief counseling and I know that all the methods work, even if they seem simple. Having another human and a confidential, professional space is powerful.
In my free time I enjoy being around animals and in nature. I love to travel all over Germany to visit friends and I deeply care about the environment. I love to read and always appreciate book suggestions!

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I book a session right away?
Absolutely. I have open slots for new clients seeking online psychological counseling. Feel free to schedule your complimentary introductory call whenever you are ready — there is no pressure and no commitment required.
How do I know if your approach works for me?
The best way to find out is through a brief, free introductory conversation. Within those first minutes, most people already sense whether the dynamic feels right.
I deeply value both your time and mine, so if the fit does not feel natural, that is completely fine — honesty benefits us both.
Here is a glimpse of what working with me looks like:
I place great importance on curiosity and a willingness to look at familiar situations from a fresh angle. Equally, I recognise that some circumstances are not within your control, and in those moments, my role is to help you build resilience and self-compassion.
My work is rooted in cognitive behavioural principles — we will explore your emotional landscape together, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and gently reshape them.
Above all, I am committed to providing a genuinely safe and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to move forward at your own pace.
Will my health insurance pay for online counseling sessions?
Online psychological counseling is a private service and is generally not reimbursed by public or statutory health insurance. Insurance providers typically only fund treatment when a formal clinical diagnosis has been established.
If clinical treatment is what you need, that would be carried out within a licensed psychotherapy practice. My counseling service is designed for personal growth, emotional support, and navigating life challenges — and operates outside that clinical framework.
Do you work with young people or children?
I received training for adults only and I don't feel like stepping out of my comfort zone in an environment as delicate as counseling is a responsible thing to do. What I can offer is counseling on parenting and how to interact with and support your child or teenager.
When can I expect to notice a difference?
Some clients experience a meaningful shift after just one conversation, while for others the process unfolds more gradually. Every person arrives with a unique set of experiences, so there is no single timeline that applies to everyone. What I can tell you is that the more openly you engage — both during and between our sessions — the more quickly progress tends to follow.
I see counseling as a genuine partnership. Your honest feedback guides our work together and ensures that every session brings real value to your life. At the close of each meeting, we will agree on a practical next step that feels right for you.
What is the typical duration and frequency of sessions?
I can't tell you because that depends on so many factors! Because there are almost always assignments between sessions most of my clients decide to have more than a week time between sessions. We will always make this decision together so that you get the most out of your investment.
How much is it?
Check out my rates page. I have a big discount for 10 session packages.
What is your cancellation policy?
I am currently in the great situation that I have had very few cancelations and I can afford to allow free re-scheduling if you get sick. However, I reserve the right to change back to a 24h cancelation policy if there are too many incidents across all my clients. I can only afford this as long as it’s a rare event.
What actually happens during a counseling session?
Our sessions are a space for you to speak freely about whatever is weighing on you — no topic is off limits. I listen with full attention and genuine care.
My style is warm yet purposeful. From time to time, I may pose thoughtful questions that gently challenge your perspective — not to unsettle you, but to open doors you may not have noticed before.
Together, we will look at how certain thinking habits and behavioural patterns may be shaping your relationships, your self-image, and your overall sense of well-being. Along the way, I will share observations and insights designed to deepen your self-awareness and help you chart a clearer path ahead.
At the end of almost all of my sessions we talk about things that you will practice, observe, change or journal about until the next session. I believe that reflection and insight are powerful, but I also know that changing patterns needs practice and a hands-on approach.
